DCVLP has a diverse base on supporters including government grants, foundations, corporations, law firms and individuals.

DCVLP is an innovative and highly cost-effective legal services organization comprised of a small staff of experienced family lawyers and over 1000 registered volunteer attorneys. These volunteers, who are trained and supervised by our experienced staff attorneys, provide high-quality representation to our clients in a range of urgent family law cases. With our partners – My Sister’s Place, the DC Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH), The Women’s Center, and many others – and the work of our own social service staff, we are able to assist our clients in accessing important support services to help them to recover from trauma and begin to rebuild their lives.
