Domestic Violence Resource Clinic Training

Bringing Justice Home

In partnership with the District Alliance for Safe Housing (DASH) and My Sister’s Place (MSP), DCVLP runs the Domestic Violence Resource Clinic to assist survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, dating violence and stalking. At the Clinic, DCVLP attorneys provide brief legal advice to clients in need of assistance with civil protection orders, custody, divorce/legal separation, child support and immigration issues in DC. Clinic clients may also meet with DASH for housing advice and with an MSP or a DCVLP social worker for needs assessment, counseling, and referrals. Additional services available at clinic include substance abuse counseling and Medicaid registration.

Please view the below training in preparation for providing brief advice to clients at the Clinic. If you have not already, please also be sure to submit a DCVLP volunteer registration form at this page.
