Introducing our New Family Legal Clinic in Anacostia

We are excited to introduce our new Family Legal Clinic for domestic violence victims and non-parent caregivers at The Commons at Stanton Square in Anacostia. The Commons at Stanton Square is new collaborative anchored by Community of Hope and Martha’s Table and supported by the Hornig Brothers. Services are focused on Ward 8 children and families and include behavioral wellness, access to food, and after-school activities.

The Family Legal Clinic is held on Fridays from 10 am to 2 pm (except holidays) at 2375 Elvans Rd SE, Anacostia. The DC Circulator drops off nearby on the corner of Stanton and Elvans. There is also ample street parking. Clients can walk-in to the clinic (no appointment necessary) or call-in to (202) 899-1070 during clinic hours. Services include:

  • Legal advice and assistance to domestic violence victims on protection orders, custody, child support and divorces. 
  • Legal information to non-parent caregivers caring for at-risk children on custody and financial resources.
  • Support, safety planning and referrals to social services.
